评论信号：I love such work. I hope to roll it into a package that anyone can use in the future. This work is only going to get more important because frontier models getting locked down will make this a lot harder over time.For example, I use Claude as a bouncing wall for my thoughts and I pointed out that, > GLM 5.2 was the only thing that helped HF while the agents were trying to access them. The "guardrails" stopped them from doing good. The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act exists. Courts exist. And computers and an internet connection have existed for a long time. There's also 17 USC 1201 provisions with the 1201 a 1 exemptions [Image #31] so in this case, a farmer should be able to work with you to access the tractor they own. Or... IDK... a kindle that's out of date? :) What is lawful and what isn't is rooted not within the act but within intent, purpose and mens rea. And this is something the law has been deciding for centuries now. At one end, your maker can't say that governments should decide while at the other end explicitly refusing to allow governments to be the ones who decide.

Like what does this do that my current RE methodology doesn't? reply: Probably it is not better. I think this is aimed at people who do not have a “current RE methodology”, do not know enough to specify things like Ghidra, etc., but who do have a desire to feel like they reverse-engineered and can reliably predict that a conversation with a chatbot will make them feel that way.

评论信号：I'm so bummed about this. Deno is by far my favourite JS runtime. I could sense this coming for a while now, but I was hopeful and just waiting to see what happened. Here we are. I'm glad I don't need to get off the runtime immediately. Sad we won't see any innovation like we did in the last 8 years or so.I hope workerd at least adopts Deno's security mechanisms so it functions as a better sandbox.One of my favourite projects of 2026 was a configurable LLM harness built around using deno as the runtime. The idea is that the configuration builds a state machine-driven program which is bundled into a binary that can only provide access to the I/O your code explicitly needs. I used it primarily to build interactive programs for colleagues which allow some LLM magic to occur without needing to worry about what they would do with Claude Desktop handling the same data or accessing the same machines and so on. It also allowed for testing local LLMs in deterministic patterns. How do they reason about what to do next when they can evaluate the possible states they can enter, based on the current context? 评论信号：I loved early Deno and am sad to see it die. I invested heavily in the Deno ecosystem because of Ry’s initial vision for it.But I stopped because I saw this coming the moment they changed course and started putting npm compatibility as a priority. Deno’s surface area went from beautifully simple to very bloated. I think they felt the pressure of VC funding and just gave up on rebuilding Node from first principles.The silver lining is that early Deno was so good that Node copied some of its features. So at least we have a better Node now. reply: Bun's adoption rate (because of its NPM compatibility) was the forcing function; not VC funding. Deno could pursue a slow-and-steady better-will-win approach vs. Node until another runtime competitor appeared with a more seamless node integration. In fact, the VC funding is what made the slow-but-steady strategy possible in the first place.

Sat there for about five minutes listening to the dialogue, wasn't until I started hearing repeats that I realized it was actually interactive and not just an unnecessarily long opening cutscene.Incidentally, as of Windows 8, Microsoft replaced OG Minesweeper with an overdesigned mobile game-inspired app with daily challenges and in-game purchases[1].I've been carrying the orignal versions of Minesweeper and Solitaire from (checks Properties) Windows NT 3.51 in my "random bin" directory for years, chosen, I believe, because they're 32-bit, have none of the graphical changes introduced in later versions, and don't rely on any non-core system DLLs. 评论信号：There is no model of the market that can remain stably accurate because the market will inevitably incorporate the insights of any model that is accurate until those insights are no longer accurate reply: in order for your model to accomplish that, you would get very rich.there will also likely always be more. in the limit in order to get an edge your model would start to infer insider information. for example, it's common knowledge by now that satellite imagery is used to measure car numbers in parking lots, that's a proxy for insider information.so it's not even so much the model as it is the data.even being able to forecast weather better than publicly available methods can be leveraged to gain a significant edge.

评论信号：I saw this linked from MacRumors during the AT&T iPhone 18 Pro Max lockup news discussions. It was interesting to see what AT&T/Apple did to try to get ahead of the issue. So far it looks like they disabled 5G Standalone mode, possibly just to prevent a bug from literally destroying the hardware (possibly only on one batch of phones).Apple/AT&T still haven't released any kind of statement addressing the issue other than to replace affected hardware.

评论信号：I wonder which field is responsible for disabling the Personal Hotspot feature? About a year ago mine suddenly got disabled in the phone's UI. Since then, the only time it got enabled was when I was traveling and using a travel eSIM.It's sad that phone companies allow carriers such anti-user things. reply: Did you buy your phone through the carrier?There are apps that can act as a SOCKS proxy for limited hotspottivity. Probably mostly on Android.
